Three Good Things is changing …

It’s Wednesday, which usually means that it’s time for Three Good Things, but today I wanted to share some news with you instead.

I originally started Three Good Things as a way of focussing on happiness during a time of great personal change. It was a way for me to practice a bit of mindfulness and gratitude instead of being caught up in negativity during a really challenging period of my life. That time has now passed and it is time for a fresh start.

So, I’m planning to turn Three Good Things into a blog link-up, so that you can share your posts with me each week. I’m feeling a bit nervous about this, so fingers crossed that it all works out. A couple of lovely people have said in the recent past that it’s a good idea, and I’m all for giving new things a try. If I sink without trace, at least I’ll know I’ve given it a shot!

To do this, Three Good Things will become The Good Things. It will be a weekly celebration of the happy things in life.

I want you to share blog posts about all kinds of good stuff with me. Big life-changing events and small everyday joys. Family celebrations, travel and adventures, great new recipes you’ve created, flowers you’ve grown, photos you’ve taken. I want to hear about the things that bring you happiness and make you smile. The things that stop you in your tracks and give thanks for the simple privilege of being alive. That could be anything from finding the perfect pair of shoes, to climbing your first mountain! It could be a post about your favourite music, films or books. You might want to link up a post in which you share something you’ve learnt, pass on your wisdom or shout about your success. I’m definitely up for playing cheerleader for people to do that!

I want Margot & Barbara to continue to grow into a positive place where life is simple, food is (sometimes!) home-grown and adventures are fitted into the everyday. I’m hoping that this link-up will be a place where that positivity thrives, where a community of uplifting posts are shared and where we can all celebrate the good things in life, whatever that means to us.

For anyone who hasn’t joined in with a link-up, they’re pretty straightforward and I’ll give you all the instructions you need when it launches.

I’d love you to join in…

  3. I’m so excited about this! I’ve been looking through my ‘three good things’ posts from last year, when I was moving house, and it is nice to be reminded that there were some good things happening in amongst everything else that was going on.

This sounds lovely…can’t wait to see it. Really love the ethos behind the idea, I try to enjoy the simple things in life & try to live in the moment a bit more, enjoying time with my family, my garden, my friends, my local environment & enjoying being lucky enough to have these things…I found you via @mammasaurus on Twitter!
