Three Good Things #20

Welcome to issue 20 of Three Good Things! I’ve been busy recently so this is a bit of a round-up of some of the fun things that I’ve been getting up to over the past week or so.

Champneys spa. Where, last week, I spent an unexpected couple of days, mostly in a robe and swimming costume. Hence ridiculous ‘robe selfie’. Most of my adventures are of the ‘camping in a field’ variety so it was utter luxury to have time in a spa, complete with massage treatments. Huge thank you to lovely boyfriend Stephen for such a treat. And, to make sure I didn’t get too carried away, I spent the next night camping in a field anyway…

Emma Bridgewater for Giffords Cir

New mug from Emma Bridgewater. Every year, Emma Bridgewater make a special mug for Giffords Circus. I broke the handle off my last one, so it is now a fancy pen-holder. But hurrah for a new mug! We saw the new show, ‘The Thunders’, on Sunday and it’s just fabulous. I could watch Giffords Circus perform every day and never tire of it.

Colour Me Rad 5k race

Colour Me Rad 5k race. I’m going to blog more about this soon, but suffice to say it was loads of fun.  I had blue hair for two days afterwards. Who knew running could be anything more than pain? It’s made me think a lot about how to have more fun with exercise.

What have you been getting up to recently? What has been making you smile this week?

A friend of mine suggested the powdered paint run (in Newcastle), but I wear glasses and was worried I’d finish the race blind! What do you think, would it be a problem?

Hello! I wear contact lenses and they gave us all sunglasses to wear – suggesting that glasses were actually a good thing! I think you might be fine. We didn’t have loads of paint on our face, I think the people at each station are probably told to avoid faces. And there’s lots of chances to avoid getting lots of paint thrown in your direction, so I think you’d be fine. Give it a go!
