Beautiful autumn flower bouquet

Beautiful overnight delivery flower bouquet

I’m delighted to share photos of these beautiful Autumn-hued flowers with you today, courtesy of Appleyard London.

When they got in touch to ask if I’d like to review some flowers as they begin to send flowers for Grandparents’ Day (which is this Sunday) I gladly accepted – as my kids and I are living with my parents at the moment, if there are any grandparents who need to be thanked, it’s these ones! The flower bouquet that I chose is called Pumpkin Chutney, chosen because of the rich reds and oranges which I thought suited the season perfectly. When they arrived, my mum immediately started talking about how beautiful they were, so I think I chose well.

Although the bouquet arrived last week, I’ve waited until now to write a review, because one of the things that I’m always interested in is how long cut flowers last. I arranged to have the flowers delivered on 16th September. At the time of writing–Sunday 27th September–everything apart from the roses is still going strong. I think that is really impressive, and would give me lots of confidence in ordering these as a gift for someone else.

The flowers arrived in a a lovely silver box, tied in a bouquet with tissue paper wrapping, water to keep them hydrated and placed in a stylish black bag, so they stood up. A  handful of leaves got slightly crushed because the delivery driver hadn’t seen the large ‘This Way Up’ written on the side of the box, but thankfully there was no other damage, and little water leakage. And, importantly, the flowers were completely gorgeous. I’ve loved the warm colours they’ve added to our sitting room and am really happy that I’ve been able to share them with my lovely mum; it’s felt like a little touch of luxury for which I’m really grateful.

Appleyard Flowers offer next day flower delivery (order by 9pm weekdays, 4pm Saturday and 2pm Sunday) so if you’re looking for a last minute gift, they’d be a great choice. I foresee them being a regular part of my gift-giving. And, excitingly, I can even offer you a discount! Readers of this blog can get a 33% discount (excluding the Flowers By Post range) by entering BLOG33 at the checkout.

Thank you Appleyard!
