Join me at The Good Life Experience!

One of the greatest things about blogging is meeting new people, sharing experiences, learning together and having fun. With that in mind–and the fact that the line-up for the day looks fantastic—Annie from Manneskjur and I are going to The Good Life Experience at Harwarden Estate in Flintshire, Wales in September and we’d love you to join us!

Yes, this is Cerys Matthews with an axe… She’s curating the music. Want to know what she says about the Festival?

“The Good Life festival is not your average festival. It was designed to offer people the chance to learn and experience new things they’d never tried before, from throwing axes to seeing a gypsy band play live and learning how to dance, do yoga, abseil and cook on a campfire, all on the same day. The festival will offer the best of the great outdoors, music, culture and food in a magical setting surrounded by woodland against the backdrop of a stunning historic castle.”

This sounds exactly like my kind of festival. The programme is curated by Charlie and Caroline Gladstone, founders of gorgeous homeware store, Pedlars, award winning pub The Glynne Arms, Hawarden Estate Farm Shop and co-authors of The Family Guide to the Great Outdoors.

Rather brilliantly–I love it when ‘small world’ things happen— one of the people in the line-up is none other than EJ Osborne of Hatchet+Bear with whom I made the world’s wonkiest spoon earlier this year. And yes, you read that right. AXE THROWING. You don’t get that at Glastonbury.

Alongside the axe throwing is an eclectic line up of music, food, creativity and learning, Visitors to the festival are guaranteed to leave having learnt something new and spent an enjoyable time reconnecting to the great outdoors. Those axes are coming  all the way from New York’s Best Made Company–and I’m hoping they’re bringing along their goods for sale too, because I have an enormous lust for their sew-on badges! I’m also particularly excited to listen to James Greenwood, who has ridden around the world on horse-back, as I love being inspired by adventurers,

So, it feels almost needless to say, I’ve bought my ticket already. If you fancy going too, find Pedlars and The Good Life Experience on Instagram, because there’s a competition to win two tickets! It closes next Tuesday…

It would be lovely to see some friends at The Good Life Experience. I’ll be travelling from Yorkshire so if you fancy sharing the trip, let me know!
